19th Regional Conference of Dermatology incorporating 2nd Annual Meeting of the AADV & 35th Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Dermatological Society of Malaysia

Message from the Organising Chairman

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is again my pleasure to welcome you to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia, the host city of the 19th Regional Conference of Dermatology (Asian-Australasian). We are indeed proud to bring this historical and prestigious scientific meeting to our shores. The 19th RCD will also incorporate the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Asian Academy of Dermatology and Venereology & the 35th AGM and Annual Scientific Meeting of the Dermatological Society of Malaysia.

We have entered a great new era in global dermatology for which we in Asia will have to embrace. The theme of the 19th RCD, “Dermatology Without Borders” will look at the challenges and opportunities that this new era has to offer.

This conference will look at innovative medical technology - particularly new
drugs, therapeutic devices and biologics. It will also examine developments
in subspecialties dealing with gene therapy, immunodermatology,
paediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, dermatologic and laser surgery.
An impressive regional and international faculty will be assembled to make
this conference.

The 19th RCD presents a unique opportunity for the dermatological profession in Asia to come together in fraternity and fellowship. This conference will also pave way for enhanced regional and international cooperation in the field of dermatology.

You will find Kota Kinabalu, on the mystic island of Borneo a truly exciting
destination full of things to do and to discover, from crystal clear seas to
majestic mountains. Come and enjoy the warm hospitality and the unique
culture of the people. Come and be fascinated by the fauna, the rain forest,
the orang utans, proboscis monkeys and other creatures that you will not see anywhere else in this world.

19th RCD 2010 Scientific Program Overview

Dear Colleagues,

It is an honour for Dermatological Society of Malaysia to organise this premier dermatology meeting again after ten years. As President, I would like to welcome all delegates to the 19th Regional Conference of Dermatology (Asian-Australasian) to be held at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia, in the year 2010.

The theme “Dermatology Without Borders” will give the spirit to all of us to enhance our dermatology practice to meet the needs of the region. With the prominent Faculty of Speakers, well chosen scientific topics and our great interest, this 19th RCD will be an academically fruitful meeting to us.

The venue, Magellan Sutera & Pacific Sutera Hotels, Sutera Harbour, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, will complement the scientific meeting with many interesting pre and post congress activities. We hope the delegates and the accompanying persons will enjoy coming to this meeting.
