We are truly saddened by the demise of our member and friend, Dr Sivasundaram, who passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and may his soul rest in peace.

PAEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGY UPDATE 2012: The Institute of Pediatrics Hospital Kuala Lumpur is organizing a Pediatric Dermatology Update 2012 at the Main Auditorium Hospital Kuala Lumpur on 23rd June 2012. The topics basically cover vascular tumour and malformation in childhood, and practical work-stations for atopic eczema in the afternoon. Please find attached flyer below.

PDM Midterm meeting “Future Direction of Postgraduate Training in Dermatology”
The meeting will be held in Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel on Sunday April 22, 2012. This is an important time for dermatologists to actively participate in the educational process as we face difficult challenges that affect the training of our trainees.
There will be speakers from UKM, UM, KKM, AADV and NSR to present about the training of dermatologists. Among the speakers are Puan Sri Professor Suraiya, Professor Rokiah Ismail, Datuk Dr Roshidah Baba, Dr Steven Chow and Dr Ting Hoon Chin. The discussion will look into what the different options of training are, entry requirements, duration of training, target of number of trainees, gazettement criteria, etc.
There will be a talk by Prof Marcus Maurer from Berlin on "Difficult Urticarias" after the discussion.

UKM Faculty of Medicine is offering an Advanced Master of Dermatology. The programme consists of 3 years sub-specialty training which is aimed at progressive mastery of knowledge, skills and attitude, increasing responsibilities and independence.
